Starlight Dinner Train

Three courses, lamps lit, over the viaduct after dark

The dining coach was built in 1924 and spent forty years as a garden shed before the volunteers brought it back. Now it seats twenty-four, with brass lamps, white tablecloths and a kitchen the size of a wardrobe.

The train leaves Millbrook at seven and climbs slowly while dinner is served. Halfway, it stops on Kestrel Viaduct with the lights dimmed, so you can see the stars and the lights of the valley below. Dessert is served at Summit Halt.
